CVB Electronics takes electronics from a rough idea to a manufacturable board: schematic, layout, firmware and bring-up. We are also bringing our own boards to market alongside that client work.

PCB design & layout

Schematic capture through to manufacturing-ready output. Multilayer boards, mixed-signal work, RF-aware routing, and manufacturability checked from the first placement.

Embedded firmware

Bare-metal and RTOS firmware in C and C++ for 8-bit through 32-bit microcontrollers. Written so it can be debugged, tested, and picked up later by someone who did not write it.

  1. CVB-CSI-HDMI

    HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridge

    Presents an HDMI source to a single-board computer as a camera on the CSI-2 bus, so the SBC can capture or process live video without a USB capture stick in the path.

  2. CVB-TRK-2A

    Antenna tracker controller

    Two-axis controller for a directional antenna mount. It reads telemetry from the link, drives azimuth and elevation, and holds position using encoder and IMU feedback instead of dead reckoning.

  3. CVB-LINK-1

    Network display client

    A small HDMI box that decodes a low-latency video stream from a PC or server on the same network, and sends keyboard, mouse and gamepad input back. It does the job the discontinued set-top streaming clients did, on open host software.

Working with a small shop

You deal with the engineer, not an account manager

Large consultancies drop small projects and marketplaces leave them half-finished. With a small shop you know who is working on your board, what state it is in, and what it will cost.

The limit is capacity: only so much work can run at once. If a deadline cannot be met, you hear it before you commit.

    Sources and manufacturing outputs are handed over at the end of the project.

How it runs

From brief to handover

  1. 01

    Scope

    A call and a written brief: what the board must do, which constraints are fixed, and where the budget sits. You get a quote before work starts.

  2. 02

    Design

    Schematic first, reviewed with you before routing starts. Layout follows, with DFM rules taken from the fab house that will build the board.

  3. 03

    Bring-up

    Prototypes assembled, powered and debugged. Firmware is written against the real hardware, and faults are fixed before a production run.

  4. 04

    Handover

    You receive sources, manufacturing files, a BOM with second sources, and documentation another engineer can work from.
